Our workers, our customers.  That is why we have taken the necessary measures to ensure safety and prevention against the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2, adapting our hotels to the new hygiene and safety protocols based on the guidelines and recommendations of the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTE) together with the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Health, which we detail below.

The entire team of Sumus Hotels Group has been trained to apply the correct prevention and safety measures against the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2, following protocols adapted to the new situation in all the departments of our hotels. All our staff will be equipped with masks and other EPIs, as well as temperature checks will be done every shift change.

We have made available in all the common areas of our hotels sanitizing gel dispensers, and in your room you will find a welcome kit with 2 masks and bottle of sanitizing hydrogel. The use of the gel will be mandatory in some areas, such as in the restaurant.

We have reorganized the spaces and furniture of our hotels in order to guarantee a distance between 1.5 and 2 meters with the other customers. For your comfort, we will control the maximum capacity in each area of our property. We recommend the use of masks when the mentioned distances cannot be respected.

New cleaning plans increasing frequency and paying special attention to the main contact points (bathrooms, taps, elevators, knobs, tables, chairs, hammocks, magnetic keys, TV controls), ventilation of rooms and common areas, as well as new protocols of textile washing at higher temperatures.

We have reorganized sunbeds and seating areas, defined new capacity in the pool and will maintain water quality controls to meet current parameters. Towel service will also be subject to new disinfection protocols. Live music and activities will be offered outdoors to ensure safe distance in a more comfortable and relaxed environment.


The restaurant will maintain the gastronomic offer in buffet format, and will make hydroalcoholic gel available to customers. The use of a mask is mandatory in the bar and restaurant, and guests have to wear it covering nose and mouth except when they are actively eating or drinking. We remove the physical menus (only available on request and after disinfection) and we will use digital versions available via QR code. We will also don't accept cash payments to minimize contact points, but you can make your payments with a debit or credit card or with a purse card that you can purchase at the hotel reception.

 

The Spa and gym located in Sumus Hotel Stella, will have a limited capacity to ensure social distancing, while establishing protocols to increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection. Our massage and aesthetic services in both properties will be available by appointment only as well, and the facilities will be disinfected after each service.

We have been working for some time now to make our hotels more sustainable, earning the BIOSPHERE certification for two consecutive years.
